Dear Ms. Whitley: In your letter dated August 11, 2005, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of G-Unit Mens. As requested, your sample will be returned. Style GUS06-03215 is a men’s garment constructed from 85% polyester, 15% cotton, interlock knit fabric. Style GUS06-03215 features a full front opening with a zippered closure; a zip through stand-up collar; short, loose fitting raglan sleeves with rib knit edging; zippered inset pockets below the waist; embroidered logos on the center chest and at the rear neckline; and a rib knit bottom. The applicable subheading for Style GUS06-03215 will be 6110.30.3050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTS), which provides for: sweaters, pullovers, sweartshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of man-made fibers: other: other: other: other: men’s or boys’. The rate of duty is 32% ad valorem. Style GUS06-03215 falls within textile category designation 638. Quota and visa status are the result of international agreements that are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes.
