Dear Mr. Netz: In your letter dated May 10, 2005, on behalf of your client 2 Kemp International, you requested a classification ruling for three women’s knit garments. The submitted samples are described as follows: Style #CL-052 – A pair of women’s shorts constructed from 100% cotton terry knit fabric. The garment features a wide waistband, a rear patch pocket, and capping finishing the leg openings. Style #CL-500 – A woman’s T-shirt constructed from 100% cotton finely knit lightweight, jersey fabric. The garment features a rib knit crew neckline, short sleeves, and a straight hemmed bottom. Style #CL-021 – A woman’s pullover constructed from 100% cotton, jersey knit fabric. The garment features a modified U-shaped neckline with a raw edge finish, short sleeves, and a hemmed bottom.
