Dear Mr. Patel: In your letter dated April 13, 2005 you requested a classification ruling. The submitted samples are comforters. The outer shell of one comforter is made from 55 percent cotton and 45 percent polyester woven fabric. It is stuffed with 100 percent polyester filler. Quilt stitching extends through all three layers. The outer shell of the second quilt is made from 100 percent polyester woven fabric. It is stuffed with polyester filler. The duty rate will be 12.8 percent ad valorem. The cotton/ polyester comforter falls within textile category designation 362. The polyester comforter falls within textile category designation 666.
