Dear Ms. Boullet: In your letter dated February 25, 2005you requested a tariff classification ruling. The sample will be returned to you as requested. The submitted sample, RM2078, is a man’s jacket composed of 100% knit nylon tricot fabric coated on the outer surface with polyurethane plastic material that completely obscures the underlying fabric. The garment features a full front zippered closure with a hook and loop storm flap, two lower front pockets with flap closure, neoprene/nylon cuffs, drawcord tightening at the hem, and an attached hood. The garment is vented in the back with synthetic knit mesh. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
