Lauderdale, FL 33301 RE: The tariff classification of a fabric ornament from China Dear Mr. Crago: In your letter dated March 16, 2005, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample is identified as Item Number W075CA08187 Christmas Fabric Ornament. The item measures approximately 25” H x 5” W. It is constructed of textile fabric and consists of a snowman’s head with a long hat and a long bow tie. It is not specifically a symbol of Christmas or any other holiday. In fact, you state that it is too large to hang on a Christmas tree. You indicate that it is to be used as a wall decoration or a door hanger. The applicable subheading for the fabric ornament will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7 percent ad valorem. There are no quota or visa restrictions on this item. The sample will be returned as requested. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
