Suite 825 50 Park Place Newark, NJ 07102 RE: The tariff classification of Tris (dimethylamino) antimony, CAS # 7289-92-1, and Tris (dimethylamino) arsine, CAS # 6596-96-9, imported in bulk form, from England Dear Mr. Reynolds: In your letter dated August 4, 2004 you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client Epichem, Inc. The subject products, Tris (dimethylamino) antimony and Tris (dimethylamino) arsine, are non-aromatic nitrogen function compounds indicated for use in the semiconductor/electronics industries. The applicable subheading for Tris (dimethylamino) antimony, also known as Stibinetriamine, hexamethyl- and Tris (dimethylamino) arsine, also known as Arsenous triamide, hexamethyl-, will be 2929.90.5090, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Compounds with other nitrogen function: Other: Other….. Other….. The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
