Princeton Corporate Plaza Suite 200 11 Deer Park Drive Monmouth Jct., NJ 08852 RE: The tariff classification of a drinking glass from Italy Dear Ms. Zomer: In your letter dated February 26, 2004, you requested a tariff classification ruling. A representative sample of the item was submitted with your ruling request. The item you wish to import is a drinking glass. You indicated in a telephone conversation that the product is composed of ordinary glass. The measurements are four inches in height by three and one-quarter inches at the opening. You stated in your letter that the unit value of the glass is not over thirty cents. The applicable subheading for the drinking glass will be 7013.29.1000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for drinking glasses…other: other: valued not over thirty cents each. The rate of duty will be 28.5 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
