Dear Mr. Mgeni: In your undated letter received by us on February 5, 2004, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Your company is planning to export precious gemstones i.e. emeralds and rubies, and semiprecious gemstones i.e. amethyst, aquamarine and opal to the United States.
