Five samples of men’s shorts were submitted and will be returned as you have requested. All five garments are made of 100% cotton woven fabric. Style D5301M-S04, described as a cargo short, features a buttoned waistband with side elastic inserts and belt loops; a zippered front; two front cargo pockets with patch pockets superimposed on each pocket; two back pockets with flaps; and hemmed leg openings. Style D5322M-S04. described as a cargo short, features a buttoned waistband with side elastic inserts and belt loops; a zippered front; two front cargo pockets with patch pockets superimposed on each pocket; two back welt pockets with buttons; and hemmed leg openings. Style D5314M-S04 features a buttoned waistband with belt loops; a zippered front; two front pockets; two pockets over the side seams; two back pockets with buttoned flaps; and hemmed leg openings. The duty rate will be 16.7% ad valorem. The garments fall within textile category designation 347. Based upon international textile trade agreements products of Kazakhstan are not subject to quota and do not require a visa. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
