Product description
You are requesting the tariff classification on an item that is referred to as a plastic shelf sitter. The designated item number for the product is 933993 which covers 4 styles: a bee, a bear, a frog and a lady bug. The beads that make up the arms and legs of the whimsical shelf sitters make the articles unsuitable for young children, however they would still be appropriate playthings for older children and would also be amusing to adults. The correct classification will be in Chapter 95 of the HTS as other toys representing animals. Your samples will be returned, as requested by your office.
CBP rationale
The applicable subheading for the 4 plastic shelf sitters, Liss item # 933993 (for all 4 styles) will be 9503.49.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for toys representing animals or non-human creatures.
