Submitted style A-08, manufactured from twill fabric of 100% cotton, is a pair of relaxed-fitting trousers, characterized by a pleated front, by various pockets, and by belt loops sewn onto the partially elasticized waistband, which buttons together above a zippered, fly-front opening. Submitted style A-05, manufactured from twill fabric of 65% polyester/35% cotton, is a pair of relaxed-fitting trousers, characterized by a pleated front, by various pockets, and by belt loops sewn onto the partially elasticized waistband, which fastens together above a zippered, fly-front opening. Submitted style A-01, manufactured from oxford fabric of 65% polyester/35% cotton, is a shirt, characterized by a full-front, buttoned opening, by a pointed collar, by a chest pocket, and by long sleeves, the cuffs of which button together. The applicable subheading for the trousers will be 6203.42.4045, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for …boys’…trousers…, of cotton, other, trousers…, boys’, other, other; for the shorts will be 6203.43.4040, which provides for …boys’…shorts (other than swimwear), of synthetic fibers, other, other, other, other, other, shorts, boys’, other; and for the shirt will be 6205.30.2080, which provides for …boys’ shirts, of man-made fibers, other, other, other, other, boys’, other. The duty rates will be 16.7 percent ad valorem, 28.1 ad valorem, and 26.1 percent ad valorem + 29.3 cents /kg, respectively. The trousers fall within textile category designation 347, the shorts within 647, and the shirt within 640. Based upon international textile trade agreements products of China are subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. The designated textile and apparel categories and their quota and visa status are the result of international agreements that are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes. To obtain the most current information, we suggest that you check, close to the time of shipment, the Textile Status Report for Absolute Quotas, which is available at our Web site at www.cbp.gov. In addition, the designated textile and apparel categories may be subdivided into parts. If so, visa and quota requirements applicable to the subject merchandise may be affected and should also be verified at the time of shipment. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
