Dear Ms. Wallertz: In your letter dated April 25, 2003, you requested a tariff classification ruling for a lady’s handbag. The sample submitted is identified as style number F03-05-021. The item is a lady’s handbag designed to contain the small personal effects commonly carried on a daily basis. It is constructed of 100% cow leather (suede) with a decorative rayon velvet flower on its front exterior. The interior is unlined and consists of a single compartment with no additional features. It measures approximately 9”(H) x 10”(W). The top of the bag is secured by means of a magnetic snap fastener. Your sample is being returned as requested.
