Dear Mr. Kessler: In your letter dated March 25, 2003, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You are requesting the tariff classification on two projectiles, 155 millimeter and 175 millimeter in size. The subject projectiles (in the two sizes stated) are howitzer projectiles that are actually high explosive artillery shells used principally for fragmentation and blast effects. The correct classification will be in Chapter 93 as other ammunition and projectiles. You have included detailed illustrations of the merchandise.
