Product description

The sample is a retail packaged set of ten Christmas Gift Tags, consisting of rectangular sheets of paper or paperboard, white on one surface and silver colored on the other. They measure about 4 5/8” x 1 ¾”, and have a hole punched at one end, with a short string threaded through it, to facilitate attachment to a wrapped package. Five of the cards have, on their silver colored surface, a printed picture of 3 Christmas tree ornaments. The other five have the words “Merry Christmas” printed on the silver colored surface. All ten have printed, on the white surface, the words “To” and “From”. These latter appear to be printed by a lithographic process.

A sample was submitted, which will be returned, per your instructions. The sample is a retail packaged set of ten Christmas Gift Tags, consisting of rectangular sheets of paper or paperboard, white on one surface and silver colored on the other. They measure about 4 5/8” x 1 ¾”, and have a hole punched at one end, with a short string threaded through it, to facilitate attachment to a wrapped package. Five of the cards have, on their silver colored surface, a printed picture of 3 Christmas tree ornaments. The other five have the words “Merry Christmas” printed on the silver colored surface. All ten have printed, on the white surface, the words “To” and “From”. These latter appear to be printed by a lithographic process. The applicable subheading for the referenced tags will be 4821.10.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for: Paper and paperboard labels of all kinds, whether or not printed: Printed: Printed in whole or in part by a lithographic process. The rate of duty will be 0.9 cents per kilo. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
