Dear Ms. Young: In your letter, dated December 13, 2002, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, Meijer Distribution, Inc., Grand Rapids, MI. The submitted sample, item 918627, is a large, decorative, reusable, prism shaped bottle that contains specific vegetable products. The bottle is a transparent, glass jar that has been formed with precise angles and plane faces, so that it is in the shape of a triangular prism. The rate of duty will be 30 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 CFR 177).
