Greef Chemical Division 333 Ludlow Street Stamford, CT 06902-6987 RE: The tariff classification of 1,3-Diallyl Urea, CAS 1801-72-5 from China Dear Mr. Wong: In your letter dated October 31, 2002 you requested a tariff classification ruling. 1,3-Diallyl Urea, CAS 1801-72-5, also known as N,N'-Di-2-propenylurea, is bulk chemical intermediate. The applicable subheading for 1,3-Diallyl Urea will be 2924.19.1050 Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Carboxyamide-function compounds; amide-function compounds of carbonic acids: Acyclic amides (including acyclic carbamates) and their derivatives; salts thereof: Other: Amides: Other. The rate of duty will be 3.7 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
