Dear Mr. Allan: In your letter dated October 3, 2002, you requested a ruling on tariff classification. The samples you provided are garment hangers used for the transport and display of clothing. Style # H5442 is a suit hanger of molded plastic with a metal swivel hook. It incorporates a horizontal metal bar with metal clips. Style # H5135 is a pants/skirt hanger of molded plastic with a metal swivel hook. It incorporates a horizontal metal bar with metal clips. Style # H5136 is a companion pants/suit hanger of molded plastic. Instead of a hook, is has a loop that requires it to be hung from another hanger as an addition for lower garments.
