Dear Ms. Lee: In your letter dated October 10, 2002, you requested a tariff classification ruling. A sample was provided with your letter. The privacy screen is composed of a woven textile fabric coated on both sides with a visible layer of plastics. This construction is classified as a plastics material for tariff purposes. The privacy screen is rectangular, and measures approximately 36 inches by 84 inches. The screen has hemmed edges and “VELCRO” type strips in the four corners. The privacy screen is for use in hospitals. As you requested, the sample is being returned.
