Dear Ms. Kearney: In your letter dated August 16, 2002, on behalf of Berwick Industries LLC., Berwick, PA, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The instant sample, a Ruffle Bow, is made from a finely woven textile fabric composed of 100% nylon man-made fibers. The fabric is folded into a floral shape and held at the center with sewing and what appears to be a glue-like substance. This bow will be used for various crafts and decorative gift wrapping. The applicable subheading for the product will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other made up articles . . . Other. The rate of duty will be 7 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
