Dear Ms. Shira: In your letter dated January 11, 2001, on behalf of your client Polo Ralph Lauren, you requested a classification ruling. The submitted samples are described as follows: Style #17988 – a woman‘s bodysuit constructed from 80% silk, 19% nylon, and 1% spandex knit fabric. The garment features a shirt type collar, an opening at the neck with a five-button closure, long sleeves with slit cuffs, and a snap crotch. Style #17987 – a woman’s pullover constructed from 80% silk, 19% nylon, and 1% spandex knit fabric. The garment is sleeveless and features a round neckline, and a hemmed bottom.
