Your samples will be returned as per your request. The submitted samples, Style 1189 and 1305R, are women’s crocheted sweaters constructed of 55% ramie, 45% cotton. Style 1189 features a v-neckline, long sleeves and scalloped edges at the bottom. A round neckline, long sleeves and a straight edge bottom are the features found on style 1305R. The applicable subheading for Styles 1189 and 1305R will be 6110.90.9042, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for sweaters for women or girls: of other textile materials: other: other: other. The rate of duty will be 6%. . Styles 1189 and 1305R fall within textile category designation 845. Based upon international textile trade agreements, products of China are subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. The designated textile and apparel categories and their quota and visa status are the result of international agreements that are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes. To obtain the most current information, we suggest that you check, close to the time of shipment, the U.S. Customs Service Textile Status Report, an internal issuance of the U.S. Customs Service, which is available at the Customs Web Site at WWW.CUSTOMS.GOV.
