NY F82132 January 21, 2000 CLA-2-90:RR:NC:MM:105 F82132 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 9032.10.0030 Blythe Severson Home and Building Control Honeywell, Inc. Transportation and Customs MN10-1464 1985 Douglas Dr N Golden Valley, MN 55422-3992 RE: The statistical suffix for thermostats from Mexico and Taiwan Dear Ms. Severson : When we received your letter, dated January 11, 2000, regarding further information concerning the classification of the Honeywell T451A Light Duty Line Voltage Thermostats, we realized that in recent rulings to you regarding similar items, we had applied HTS 9032.10.0060, instead of 9032.10.0030. The statistical suffix of “30” is the one intended, consistent with our description of the items as “designed for wall mounting”. This applies the NYRLs E888 45-46-47-49-50-52-53-54-55-56-57-58-60-61-62-63-64-65 and 66, all dated between December 6 through 9 of 1999. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If you have any questions regarding the ruling, contact National Import Specialist James Sheridan at 212-637-7037. Sincerely, Robert B. Swierupski Director, National Commodity Specialist Division
