The glove features a vinyl palm patch which extends across the thumb, a waterproof barrier, an elasticized wrist, a hook and clasp, padded internal knuckle reinforcement, backside inner foam padding, fourchettes, a backside pocket sewn across the knuckle area and a ribbed knit cuff. The cumulation of features on the glove show a design for use in the sport of skiing.

Dear Pellegrini: In your letter dated January 11, 2000, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of Paris Asia, Ltd. The provided samples will be returned as per your request. Two samples were provided for review. Style 3085 is a half fingered glove with an outershell constructed of a polyester fleece fabric. The rate of duty will be 3.9 percent ad valorem. Style 3085 falls within textile category designation 631. Based upon international textile trade agreements products of China are subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. The designated textile and apparel categories may be subdivided into parts. If so, visa and quota requirements applicable to the subject merchandise may be affected.
