Dear Ms. Spagnuolo: In your letter dated September 15, 1999, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Two glove samples representing four styles were provided for review. Both samples are disposable ambidextrous vinyl gloves featuring a rolled cuff. You have indicated that the gloves will be for medical use only. Styles V100L, V200 and V18 are powder free gloves which vary only by length and packaging method. Style V12 is a powdered glove. The applicable subheading for all glove styles will be 3926.20.1010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Other articles of plastics and articles of other materials of headings 3901 to 3914: articles of apparel and clothing accessories (including gloves): Gloves: seamless . . . surgical and medical. The rate of duty will be Free. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
