This machine is designed to inspect and measure the surface of ceramic tiles for common manufacturing defects such as pressing and firing defects, mechanical damage, glaze defects, tone/shade and decoration faults, size, planarity and rectangularity defects. The system includes a video camera, an industrial computer and a high speed image processor. The applicable subheading for the Flawmaster 2000-T will be 9031.49.9000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other optical instruments and appliances, other, other. The rate of duty will be 4.8 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
