The submitted sample, style F97-75-015, is a woman's sweater like cardigan knitted from 100% acrylic yarn. The wrap styled garment has a deep V-neckline, long sleeves and ties attached to the bottom front panels. The garment is designed with a front wrap and the ties encircle the back and tie in the front. The garment reaches the waist and there are more than 9 stitches per two centimeters measured in the horizontal direction. The sample will be returned as requested. The applicable subheading for the garment will be 6110.30.3055, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of man-made fibers: other: other: other: other: women's or girls'. The rate of duty will be 33.5 percent ad valorem. The garment falls within textile category designation 639. Based upon international textile trade agreements, products of China are subject to quota and the requirement of a visa. The designated textile and apparel categories may be subdivided into parts. If so, visa and quota requirements applicable to the subject merchandise may be affected. Part categories are the result of international bilateral agreements which are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes.
