Box 1059 Pawtucket, Rhode Island 02862-1059 RE: The tariff classification of a toy wrist watch from China Dear Ms. Bernard: In your letter dated August 20, 1996 you requested a tariff classification ruling. A sample of the "Barney Wrist Melody" accompanied your inquiry. The item consists of a textile strap, 1 1/2 inches in width, that secures around the wrist via hook and loop fastener material. Attached to the strap is a stuffed representation of a creature's head. The head depicts that of the popular children's character "Barney" and contains a musical chip that plays the "Barney" theme song. To activate the music one simply needs to squeeze the character's head. Underneath the stuffed head is a pictorial representaion of a clock face with printed numbers and hands. Your sample is being returned as requested.
