Wyoming Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89104 RE: The tariff classification of automotive cargo webbing from Korea Dear Mr. Wiggam: In your letter dated July 23, 1996 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The item concerned is a sewn, cross-hatching of black, 2" wide, nylon webbing covering an area of 24 sq. ft.; it has 28 attaching loops. You state that the webbing is rated at over 2000 lbs. capacity and is intended for use in the bed of pickup trucks to hold cargo or payload in place. The applicable subheading for the Talon Tie-Down will be 8708.29.5060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Parts and accessories of . . . motor vehicles . . . : Other parts and accessories of bodies: Other: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 2.9% ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
