Martinez RE: The tariff classification of Automotive Plug-in Fuses from Taiwan Dear Mr. Martinez: In your letter dated June 4, 1996 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The products in question, samples submitted, are Automotive Plug-in Fuses of varying amperage with display light, used in automotive electrical systems. The display light, incorporated within the fuse, will illuminate when replacement is necessary. The applicable subheading for the plug-in fuses will be 8536.10.0040, Harmonized Tariff Schedules of the United States (HTS), which provides for other fuses, for a voltage not exceeding 1000 V. The rate of duty will be 4.3% ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If the documents have been filed without a copy, this ruling should be brought to the attention of the Customs Officer handling the transaction.
