Box 4500 Westborough, MA 01581-4500 RE: The tariff classification of Clomethiazole (1867-58-9) from Sweden. Dear Mr. Hayward: This is an amendment to Ruling No. A82017, dated May 8, 1996. The ruling issued to you inadvertently stated that Clomethiazole was dutiable at the rate of 7.3 percent ad valorem. Please be advised that pursuant to General Note 13 to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule this product is duty free. All other facts stated in the original ruling remain the same.
