CN 7500 Cranbury, N.J. 08512-4000 RE: The tariff classification of 1,3-Difluorobenzene from the United Kingdom. Dear Mr. Meola: In your letter dated June 22, 1994, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The applicable subheading for 1,3 Difluorobenzene will be 2903.69.6000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Halogenated derivatives of hydrocarbons (con.): Halogenated derivatives of aromatic hydrocarbons: Other: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 9.1 percent ad valorem. This product is listed in the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) Chemical Substance Inventory, 1985 ed. Accordingly, importation may be subject to regulation under the provisions of the Toxic Substance Control Act (Pub. Law 94-469).
