NY 898360 August 11, 1994 CLA-2-29:S:N:N7:236 898360 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 2933.90.2500; 2933.90.9500 Mr. Robert L. Harris, Jr Konica Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc. Greensboro Operation 6900 Konica Drive Whitsett, NC 27377 RE: The tariff classification of Photographic Chemicals from Japan. Dear Mr. Harris: In your letter dated May 23, 1994, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The prospective imports, Z-218, Z-434, Z-469, and Z-483 are photographic chemicals known as "Anti-Fogging Agents" used in color negative photographic paper. They are classified as follows: Item Classification Duty Z-218 2933.90.2500 8.5% Z-434 2933.90.9500 7.9% Z-469 2933.90.2500 8.5% Z-470 2933.90.2500 8.5% Z-483 2933.90.2500 8.5% In our opinion, "Anti-Fogging Agents" are not within the scope of the Anti Dumping Order (A-588-832). This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If the documents have been filed without a copy, this ruling should be brought to the attention of the Customs officer handling the transaction. Sincerely, Jean F. Maguire Area Director New York Seaport
