Dear Mr. Healy: In your letter dated February 28, 1994 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The product in question, frozen veal cutlets, be produced from veal round and loin cuts. This meat would be imported into Mexico where the leg and loin muscles will be trimmed of all fat and tissue and processed into two ounce portions. After the product is cut to size it will be vacuum bagged and frozen. The applicable subheading for the * will be *, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for *. The rate of duty will be *. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
