NY 880729 December 8, 1992 CLA-2-29:S:N:N7:239 880729 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 2903.29.0000 Mr. Wayne Buehrer Tomen America Inc. 444 Market Street, Suite 1000 San Francisco, CA 94111 RE: The tariff classification of trans-1,3-dichloropropene (CAS# 10061-02-6) from The Netherlands. Dear Mr. Buehrer: In your letter dated November 19, 1992, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The applicable subheading for trans-1,3-dichloropropene will be 2903.29.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other unsaturated chlorinated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons. The rate of duty will be 18 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If the documents have been filed without a copy, this ruling should be brought to the attention of the Customs officer handling the transaction. Sincerely, Jean F.
