Dear Mr. Cohen: In your letter dated November 1, 1990, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The applicable subheading for Unicide U-13, which is N,N"- methylene bis [N'-(1-hydroxymethyl)-2,5-dioxo-4-imidazolidinyl]- urea (CAS# 39236-46-9) will be 2933.21.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for hydantoin and its derivatives. The rate of duty will be 6.7 percent ad valorem. This product may be subject to the regulations of the Food and Drug Administration.
