Huston Combined Transport Systems, Inc. 506-508 Morris Avenue Elizabeth, NJ 07208 RE: The tariff classification of butter cookies from Denmark Dear Mr. Huston: This classification decision under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) is being issued in accordance with the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). DATE OF INQUIRY : September 20, 1990 ON BEHALF OF : Festival Foods, East Brunswick, NJ DESCRIPTION OF MERCHANDISE : Baked butter cookies, packed in a round, decorative metal tin measuring aproximately 7 1/2 inches in diameter and 8 inches tall. An electronic musical chip is affixed to the inside and plays a tune whenever the container is opened. HTS PROVISION : Bread, pastry, cakes, biscuits and other bakers' wares...sweet biscuits...other HTS SUBHEADING : 1905.30.0040 RATE OF DUTY : free A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
