Jones III Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Corporation 59 Route 10 East Hanover, NJ 07936-1951 RE: The tariff classification of "Sandimmune" in ampules, oral solution and soft gel liquid capsule forms from Switzerland. Dear Mr. Jones: In your letter dated July 11, 1990 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The "Sandimmune" products contain the antibiotic cyclosporine and are used as immunosuppressive agents for the prophylaxis of organ rejection. The applicable subheading for the "Sandimmune" in ampules, oral solution and soft gel liquid capsule forms will be 3004.20.0050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for medicaments in dosage form, other,antibiotics, other. The rate of duty will be 3.7 per cent ad valorem. When imported on or before December 31, 1990, the applicable subheading will be 9902.29.88, HTS and will be free of duty.
