DATE OF INQUIRY : June 1, 1990 DESCRIPTION OF MERCHANDISE : Hydraulic steering gears for commercial vessels, consisting of a rudder motor with tiller, one or more pump units, and a wheelhouse steering column with an electric rudder indicator HTS PROVISION : Other machines and mechanical appliances having individual functions, not specified or included elsewhere...:other HTS SUBHEADING : 8479.89.9090 RATE OF DUTY : 3.7 percent ad valorem A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
