The applicable HTS subheading for Beta Oxy Naphthoic Acid, CAS 92-70-6, also known as 3-Hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid will be 2918.29.5000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, which provides for carboxylic acids with phenol function but without other oxygen function, their anhydrides, halides, peroxides, peroxyacids and their derivatives: other: other: other. The duty rate will be 3.7 cents per kilo plus 17.9 percent ad valorem. The applicable HTS subheading for C-Amine CAS 88-53-9, also known as 5-Amino-2-chlorotoluene-4-sulphonic acid will be 2921.43.5000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, which provides for aromatic monoamines and their derivatives; salts thereof: toluidines and their derivatives; salts thereof: other: other. The duty rate will be 2.4 cents per kilo plus 18.8 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
