Dear Mrs. Roques: In your letter dated August 18, 1995, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The jewelry stands are used to display jewelry in museums and retail establishments. The jewelry stands include necklace stands (NS1,NS2, NS3), bracelet stands (BRS1, BRS2), earring stands (ERS1, ERS2, ERS3, ERS4, ERS5), cufflink stands (CFLR, CFLL) and ring stands (RCD1). The applicable subheading for the acrylic jewelry stands will be 3926.90.9890, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other articles of plastics, other. The rate of duty will be 5.3 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
