In your letter dated June 19, 1995, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The submitted sample, Style #2361A, is girl's junior size romper. The upper part of the garment features a five button tailored denim vest style bodice. The vest part is fully lined and is made of woven fabric. The lower part has a full divided skirt silhouette and is made of woven rayon printed fabric. You state in your letter that the garment will be imported in junior sizes 3-13 and in girl's sizes 7-16, for your Spring selling season. We are returning your sample as you requested. The romper falls within textile category designation 237. Based upon textile trade agreements, products of China are presently subject to quota restraints and visa requirements. Since part categories are the result of international bilateral agreements which are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes, to obtain the most current information available, we suggest that you check, close to the time of shipment, the Status report On Current Import Quotas (Restraint Levels), an internal issuance of the U.S. Customs Service, which is available for inspection at your local Customs office. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
