Fulton Street Ada, MI 49355-0001 RE: The tariff classification of ceramic household articles from China. Dear Mr. Coe: In your letter dated April 17, 1995, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The merchandise at issue, based on the photos submitted, consists of both ceramic cat-shape and dog-shape canisters, item numbers X9958 and X7013 respectively, designed to hold a toilet bowl brush. The applicable subheading for the ceramic toilet bowl brush holders, item numbers X9958 and X7013, will be 6912.00.5000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for other ceramic household articles, other than of porcelain or china. The rate of duty will be 6.8 percent ad valorem. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If the documents have been filed without a copy, this ruling should be brought to the attention of the Customs officer handling the transaction. Sincerely, Jean F.
