Dear Ms. Sheu: In your letter dated January 16, 1994, you requested a tariff classification ruling on the following chemicals: Items HTS# Duty Brown Aluminum Oxide 2818.10.2000 1.3 percent White Aluminum Oxide 2818.10.2000 1.3 percent Pink Aluminum Oxide 2818.10.2000 1.3 percent Black Silicon Carbide 2849.20.2000 0.5 percent Green Silicon Carbide 2849.20.2000 0.5 percent This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177). A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported.
