The ACE Secure Data Portal is the web-based interface to ACE — the human-user counterpart to the ABI and AMI EDI interfaces. The portal is hosted by CBP and accessible at ace.cbp.dhs.gov.
Users of the ACE portal include:
- Importers — to view their own entry history, liquidation status, and account statements
- Exporters — to file EEI through AESDirect (which lives inside the ACE portal)
- Customs brokers — for account management, periodic reporting, and brokerage tools that complement their primary ABI software
- Importers of record — for periodic monthly statement reconciliation and bond management
- Carriers — for some manifest functions and for e-Manifest (truck) filing
The portal provides functions including:
- Entry summary viewing and post-summary corrections
- ACE Reports — customizable reports on entries, exams, liquidations, and bond utilization
- Periodic Monthly Statement (PMS) management
- C-TPAT and importer self-assessment functions
- ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) for passenger functions
- Census export query (USPPI history)
Access requires an ACE account — granted by CBP after a registration and certification process. Account types include importer, broker, carrier, exporter, and others, each with role-specific permissions.
The portal is intended for lower-volume manual functions and account oversight. High-volume operational filing is done through ABI and AMI — the portal cannot match EDI throughput for large brokerages.
